Tarmacing costs

Howdy,

looking to get 3366 m2 of tarmac done for a commercial yard.

Been advised I need one hell of a stone base then 100 mm base , 60mm binder then 40mm wear course

Any help welcome!

Sub base of 150mm plus. Binder plus top coat. Keep all fuels off it as it eats the tarmac.

Currently paying £10 m2 just for top coat. So you will be double that at least.

binder be about 15 a sqm and wearing about 10/12, for hot rolled asphalt, stone matic asphalt a bit more expensive but would maybe stick turning maneuvers etc a bit better

there will be a turning area which I am nervous about, may Concrere the end part to stop scuffing.

concrete vs tarmac, that’s the question. Tarmac can easily be tarted up in 5 yrs time, concrete is more tricky

I hope to have a price for around 400m2 of binder in the next few days here in N.I, it will be interesting to see how alike our prices are.
