its folk that can't stay home that have caused it
Are you suggesting nobody should travel further from home than a man can walk in a day... this is isn't 1720... Travel didn't create this new virus it merely provides it with an accelerated rate of spread it became pan global in weeks rather than years.

yes they should stay home, those that have been off to far flung places where they eat bats and the like have brought this back and its killing people so they are directly responsible, hope they are proud of themselves and there are still folk that seem determined to go off on their jolly's without a thought for anyone else

Henarar, are you just bitter because you are not allowed to own a passport or have a phobia of flying? I assure you the world would be a better place if more people traveled more. Too many people are too ignorant about the rest of the world!

So what is incorrect in what I put ?
If there was no travel and it took years to get here then most likely there would be a vacation by the time it did but no folk have to go galavalting all round the world, can't burn a bit of red producing food but nobody must get in the way of folk and their jollys

this is 2020 not 1820,
ans hope you never buy anything from out side of your small world,
as for producing food, why is it farmers think they are feeding the world, yet not only they cannot feed there own country, but you could not feed a car full of 4 if they turned up on your farm

If I had been off gallivanting abroad and had dragged this bloody lurgy back I would be feeling guilty as hell but no folk still have to go off on their jollys they haven't seen half of what is within a 10 minute drive but they have to go off abroad and they mustn't be taxed for doing it.
Its cos of those selfish buggers that I don't get to enjoy nice clear blue sky's in the summer any more cos of the bloody plains belching out pollution from the back of them

The problem is the double standards of a lot of the general public, all wanting to save the environment (but as long as it doesn’t effect their holidays)

if We are serious about climate change and tackling it, then people will have to change their ways. It’s all or nothing little sound bites here and there are not enough. So we have to decide as a world population what do we really want.

I buy stuff from all over the place and will continue to do so I never said I was perfect I simply put down a few truths and some don't like it well tough sh1t people brought this to our door not things and if they had stayed home it wouldn't have happened if you don't like them apples that's not my problem

i think its ironic that planes fly on tax free fuel and bring stuff from halfway around the world and then they talk about putting tax up on farm fuel, then in their next breath they talk about carbon foot print, let me just say with the price of fuel as it is i am very aware of fuel usage, any excuse for a tax hike they will take it, when i started driving one pound would buy five gallons not litres gallons now fuel is £1.29 per litre, do we drive smaller cars? no has fuel consumption gone down ? no my conclusion is making fuel more expensive doesn't achieve anything. what i would say is the personal hygiene of some of the people from where our food is imported is a little lacking

Wrong. Consumers now actively search out lower consuming cars.

some perhaps might buy a little runabout for the wife, back in the days when you could buy fuel for less than forty p a gallon the usual farm pickup was a mini or moggy thou, these days the farm pick up is more likely to be some twin turbo monster, i will agree that cars are more fuel efficient but rather than going for lower fuel consumption they go for more power ,next time you go out have a look in the car park

Certainly reads like you’re stuck in ages past from what you’ve written there - mysogeny alive and well in Pembs, it seems.

I look at my own choices, and speak to real people, not just those in the Mart. First choice statistic after number of seats is mpg. Turbos add power without using more fuel - that’s why they are so popular.

My first GTi was in 1991, made 115hp and got 25mph, this one has 190hp and gets 50mpg.

Oh, and in the real world, folks don’t buy trucks, they buy family cars. Best selling were the focus and fiesta, last time I looked.
