So just looking for answers to a question ive been thinking about. So just back from the cotswolds were we called in at cirencester market which a presume is in a tb hotspot. Now were in a tb4 area and buy mainly tb 4 or tb1 low risk cattle would there been anything to stop me buying calves or cattle from that market as they did seem slightly cheaper than the tb 4 calves we buy ?

You'd have to post movement test them 60-120days after.

Thats what i was wondering there must be some sort of protacol otherwise surly you would just get people buying cattle frim everywhere

I'd say tb4 cattle have the potential to cause more trouble than tb1 as they could be carrying/ spreading tb around a lot longer than cattle tested more frequently.

They would need post movement testing 60-120 days after you buy them, same as the TB1 cattle you buy in.

General rule is anything moving from a more frequent testing interval to yourself (ie. 6mthly to yearly or 6mthly/yearly to 4 yearly) needs post movement testing. But remember that's the parish testing interval not necessarily your individual interval.

You may get your TB testing interval changed to 6 mthly due to your high risk behaviour.
