Got a TB test in a couple of weeks, are these still going ahead?

Yes.
Was told by vet, that as of yesterday, due by dates can be extended by a month.
Guessing that negates any payment penalties because you won't be shut down.

Our TB test is still on for next week. I think that it is mad to let a vet on the place who has visited all over the region recently. I just can't see how we can keep 6 feet apart catching calves and driving heifers into the crush. My blokes sre not happy, and theaton to self isolate on the day, I might just join them and tell the ministry to bring their own blokes and get on with it! All for a test that is bloody useless anyway.

Ours is next week and the week after. For the last three weeks I did rather think it would be called off but told today, no it’s still on.
Did 400 animals today no problem. Put some marks on the floor. Vet stood behind her line whilst I locked the cow in the crush, then I stood behind my line, and she came forward and did her bits. Then she went back and I let the cow out. Sounds a pain but were still doing 60-70 an hour like that. Anything under 6 months we shut in an old weigher crate and she could do her bits without us near. We never came closer than the 2 meters and we were out in the open as well so it all felt fine.
As for us the 2 people pushing in we were using a race up to the crush and it wasn't a problem. We altered one location with extra gates to narrow a longer area as the heifers approached the crush.

Mrs Cz. Assisted our vet with a C section a couple of days ago. I think they struggled with the 2 meters rule...
Thats the spirit. Nice to hear of a can -do attitude and making the best of it to keep things as normal as possible. Did anybody wear masks?

No. We had the FFP3 masks there but we were in the fresh air in excess of 2 metres and no one was coughing/sneezing etc so didn't feel necessary. Would rather save the masks just in case we get a ceaser etc that is more tricky to do at distance.
Good , i dont fancy wearing them either

Well over here in Northern Ireland I had I had test on two inconclusives from last heard test cancelled last week no word on when they will be tested

Where can we source FFP3 compliant masks?
No where anymore i suspect unless you want to pay silly money on eBay. We've kept our full face and half mask options but all the disposable FFP3 I've sent to my relation who is a doctor in London as they still don't have any despite what they are saying on the news. If they can't get them I'm assuming supply is very short.
