I had a morris when i first started an old one , i cant remeber having any issues it was good it just got to old on me and premier were just new then so ended up with one of them .
Haven’t seen one in the flesh but slightly put off by weak looking head yoke and front gates. Maybe internet pictures don’t do it justice
Cows aren’t an issue generally it’s fat cattle that that run at it with force. We’ve managed to twist one of the yoke gates so it won’t latch together and break the weigh cells twice in that time. In general it’s not a bad crush as we manage to tb test 500+ a day in it. I’d just like to keep them calmer in itGlaved yes , i had one of the first mk1s for ni on 30 year , still got it infact no rust , dont have any issues with the self
Locking yoke never bent anything on either of them but my cows are probably smaller thsn yours , even then they were always tight fit in mk1 but the new squeeze is good, although i rarley need to use the squeeze bit .

You can’t beat a lim heiferSeriously, you should ring Pete at Morris. You will speak to the boss, who also designs the crushes, and they finish a decent number of those madly bred cattle themselves each year.
All the local marts have Morris. Says a lot about yoke strength and usageThey are only near Bishops Castle, so you could drop over to have a look at one in the workshop in a couple of hours. They’ve always looked grand crushes whenever I’ve been there, and they will make make to whatever spec you want.
Pete’s Dad Dave finishes around a hundred red limmie heifers per yearYou can’t beat a lim heifer
Sounds like you really need a big8Cows aren’t an issue generally it’s fat cattle that that run at it with force. Powder coating is utter shyt .Arrowquip have always said that powder coating is better than galvanising.
However crushes must be galvanised for the FETF.
Guess what - Arrowquip will now supply a galvanised crush.
Maybe too late,I’ve ordered one and Edgar says it may well be the last one they build due to his main fabricator retiring and himself not getting any younger.View attachment 1039670
He wouldn’t regret it
I know a man who would like to do that maybe .Maybe too late,I’ve ordered one and Edgar says it may well be the last one they build due to his main fabricator retiring and himself not getting any younger.
Pity if someone didn’t take on the design and manufacture it.
I think Batemans is “very similar” already. I’m sure someone will start manufacturing it from his designMaybe too late,I’ve ordered one and Edgar says it may well be the last one they build due to his main fabricator retiring and himself not getting any younger.
