Thinking about upgrading my te pari, any body know what mine is worth to sell?
Te pari HD3 full auto drafting, weighing, mounted on a mobile te pari trailer. Comes with a truest 3000 weigh scale.
Excellent condition and simply the dogs b*llocks for handling sheep.

Not much demand for them now everyone that wanted one has been fitted up on the grant schemes. Probably about £1000?

Being a generous sort, I’ll give you £1200, if you Chuck the compressor in too.:)

Are you thinking of going to HD4?
Does look the business

I thought about it, but think I'm going to get/ make something to go in the rappa as a sort of secondary weigher,
Still do the majority or weighing in the tepari, but its a fixed version and we're finding that there's a few times that it would be so much easier to weigh lambs in field or at satellite yards

yes I know what you mean, we have rigged up a basic holding pen on our away land with concrete floors so we just need to take the te pari and a few prattley gates in it. The te pari trailer is faster set up and packed away than the prattley but still need to move around compressor etc, but once your set up weighing is a fast job on auto. Just mulling the idea when sheep is a good trade as a new one would see me out but I would need a good price for this one, certainly the figure on offer is not quite good enough🤣

Just out of interest why are you selling? It looks to have plenty of life in it.
A grant scheme out next week, if eligible after grant a new one might just cost a few k. with this traded in. Sometimes these sort of things are not grant aided to say contract shepherds or someone who wants to use their allocation for something else, so might be a good opportunity for us and a buyer. Not bothered if it happens or not tbh as it’s a great machine and as you say a lot of years in it yet.

It looks a good piece of kit. I've no idea what it'd be worth and I'm scared to ask how much a new one is!

My gut says it'll hold its value like Ally mobile yards do so you should get out well with it if you do sell

About 20k new but the grant system complicates a second hand valuation. It’s been faultless but is only about 6 to 7 year old. It operates from a pedal, remote control and manually, reads all eid tags and holds our 80 kg texels with no effort. The guy who designed it is a genius in my opinion, certainly enables us older guys to handle sheep with ease. Laying in a few lambs for the first time today, just set it to draft any lambs over 43kg for Carlisle on Monday, 40kg and above inside and below 40 back to the field on turnips. Took an hour for 400 lambs whilst I was back in the pens catching the odd lame one.
