Teagle/Comer flail gearbox

Hi folks

I’m struggling finding a gearbox for my TBM250. The only option I have so far is through teagle with a 7 week weight and big price tag. Not impressed. Does anyone have any recommendations of companies I could go to?

Thanks all

David.

Try Frank Alviti, plenty of Comer boxes on McConnell, etc. May identify an alternative from number of splines, etc.
They are usually helpful.

Commer boxes well used my many manufactories, so should be off the shelf from many

Thank you all for recommendations; it went a bit quiet as we cracked on combining. I have tried a few places but no luck as of yet. I’m told teagle have probably got their own serial number for it to ensure it’s bought through them. Next option is to measure bolt centres etc to see if we can id it that way, as David suggests.

The gearbox on my teagle flail failed last year and I had to wait 4 months for a replacement as it was a gear box that was currently being redesigned. Previous model must have had a fault in it's design. The previous gearbox with the correct ratio's was no longer available.

What’s actually gone in it?

They hadn’t mentioned any of this to me. So you had to go genuine teagle then? Couldn’t find a generic?

Yes it was genuine. I left it to the independent agricultural engineers I deal with to source one for me. They looked at various options for supply of a gearbox with the correct ratios and in the end we just had to sit it out for the right one.
