Teagle XT48 not spreading to 12m

I’ve got a new-to-me Teagle XT48 that is only spreading to 10m, despite being rated at 12m bout width.

I’ve tried shortening top link so that back of machine is 3” higher than the front to give more throw on the discs, but it doesn’t seem to have made any difference.

Anybody have any ideas/similar experience with these machines?

Had one could never get it to spread 12m teagle blamed fert until they came and looked and couldn't find fault with it. Ended up being told we hadn't enough hp, only had 140🤦 and to run pto around 600rpm to spread wider, so changed spreader instead

I did have a Teagle XT44 which looked to have a similar spreading disks. It did spread Lit N, 20.10.10 Kaynitro and others to 12m ok. Ran at recommended in manual height and at 540. Matter of fact I bought it second hand in 2005 and contacted Teagle about a manual which they popped in the post the next day. They're not the best though. Yours really should spread to 12m and there isn't much to adjust as vanes don't move (from memory). Can't help you as to why yours doesn't if your at correct height and pto speed.
