Should I put my teaser ram in 14 days before the ram for 2 days or leave him in for 14 days take him out and put the ram in? Thanks.

Standard practice would be to put them in for 14 days, then swap them for the entire rams.

Not sure whether it would have the same effect if he was only in there for 2 days, but quite probably I’d have thought, the same as the ‘teaser effect’ will be buggered up if the ewes have sight or smell of a ram beforehand iirc.

Years ago we took part on a trial comparing the 2 days in, 12 days out, 2 days in again idea
It concentrated lambing better than just using a teaser for 14 days straight
But didn't give us enough benefit to be worth the hassle

I put one in last year for 17 days worked a treat, all lambed over 10 days bar the odd 2 that lambed on second cycle, this year ewes are a lot slower going to the tup but teaser was only in for 14 days after a friend recommended it?

They say 14 because not all ewes are 17 day cycle, some are 15 up to 19 so you could miss ewes (first turn) if you leave the teaser in too long. That’s what I’m led to believe anyway.
