We Normally drop a teaser in 17 days before Tups,
Would they have an affect if they were turned in a lot earlier.
Our tack lambs normally go away early October and are tupped around 15th of November, would the teaser do any good if they went with the Tack lambs early October,?

At 17 days you might even miss some on the 2nd cycle that cycle short. 14 days max. It's that 2nd heat you want to catch. DO NOT use them now.

Remember no sight of smell with the ewes for a month before hand, including on your clothes.

I try to put my teasers in with ewes a month before tupping. I want them to ensure the ewes are cycling, but not to induce a particularly tight lambing period (17 days is fine by me). The first cycle will be tight if the teaser effect has worked, the second (& potentially more fecund) heat cycle will have spread out a bit.
Never seems to work quite as well with ewe lambs here, but it's a job to get females a mile away from make sheep for a month beforehand in most areas where sheep are kept.
