Are there any differences with the different brands? Different brands, different prices.
Noroseal=£95
Orbeseal=£133
Uberseal blue=£123
Cepralock=£115( 144 tubes v120 with the others)
Used cepralock last year and thought there was a lot of air and hard to press.

My vets are using ubroseal blue and I've found It good

I think cepralock is no longer manufactured. Changed to noroseal from cepralock.
Cepralock has been reformulated, doesn’t have the large amount of air in it that it used to have, it’s a bit thicker now and cold weather the tubes need putting somewhere a bit warmer for a while to make them easier to use.

I went off cepralock because it was full of air and not thick enough, switched to orbeseal, loads better.
Vet rang me and asked me to try the new formulation of cepralock as I had told them I wasn't happy with the quality of cepralock and I think it's better than orbeseal, no air and very thick.

Cepralock is crap. Used Ubro Blue first time this year, didn't like it at dry off, more cows leaking milk for longer but not actually had any more problems so far. I think Orbeseal is the most expensive as it is the best.

Much prefer Orbeseal, like Ameath been using it for 2 years with no problems. I Don't like Ubroseal blue at all, tubes seem to have very little in them.

Sorry I've been telling lies!

Just double checked and I've used cepralock recently

I haven't calved any since I've used the box up, it seems good stuff though tbf, didn't notice any air and it didn't run out the teat or anything

I have used ubroseal blue and noroseal though, I didn't mind either

You won't have a problem with the new cepralock it was the old stuff that was garbage

The old cepralock used to run out the teat after sealing them and was very little left in the cow at calving ,,maybe the odd teat here and there was okay
Had to use half orbeseal half cepralock 2 years ago and you could tell every cow that had orbeseal as there teats where sealed at calving whereas very few off the cepralock treated cows were still sealed
Had one cow I treated at drying off last year ,fidgety sod ,,just orbeseal calved in September no issues then 5 months into lactation had a lump in her under ,raised cell count and a Few mastitis clots ,so I treated her ,anyhow clots disappeared by lump in her bag ramained then over a few days of stripping by hand teat seal appeared to come out and lump disappeared ,,and cell count went back too double digits
Now only logic is with her fidgeting the orbeseal went up into her udder and blocked milk pathways ,so bit very weary how your drying off

I strip every cow before milking and I can get sealer up to 3 months after calving. It's myself that does the sealing and I pinch the top of teat so definitely done right.
I only seal "free" milkers. The rest get nothing.
