Hi All,

Our stick inverter welder is on its way out and looking for a replacement. Had a look at TEC ARC who are local to us and saw this which looked interesting as it offered a multiprocess machine at what I thought was very reasonable money. 200A and mig/stick could be really useful for us as a 13A / Single phase machine. Wondered if anyone had any experience of one?

I had a m2000i a few years ago
Was a good welder,i had about 6 years good service from it then it started playing up
Sent it back to tecarc 2x over a couple of years for fixing but the 3rd time I got rid

Thanks for the feedback! What was it like for portability and power off a 13A plug? This would also be our first mig welder, is it fairly easy to setup and use as that?

125 - 130 sounds more than good enough, our current sips blows does similar and thats more than enough for welding gate crooks on with 3.2mm rods
You may want to consider getting a larger machine even if you wont use the higher ams as the duty cycles are often quite short when they are running at or near full power.

We have a couple of Tec Arcs multiprocess machines in welding booths, unfortunately they are a neither or machine and have been nothing but trouble. The first two were sent back as you couldn’t strike an arc with them without them sticking and the two replacements have been back for repairs few times and the repair prices are now starting to get eye watering. I wouldn’t recommend them to any one really and we hardly use them hard as they’re permanently in a booth connected to gas manifold in a heated workshop!!! Unfortunately they won’t be repaired next time!!!
