Teesside Area - Seeking Metal Detecting Permission

Hi

I am really hoping that someone on this forum will give me permission to metal detect on their farm land in the Teesside/Darlington area. This could include Stockton, Yarm, Middlesbrough and Darlington areas. ( I live in Eaglescliffe)

I am a 53 year old Professional Engineer who has been away from detecting for a few years and have recently got back into it. Apart from going to the beach I have no land where I have permission to detect on.

I am a member of the National Council for Metal Detecting (which means I'm insured) and will provide any identification documents required. I am extremely courteous, trustworthy and tidy in my detecting and and will adhere to any rules/instructions requested by the landowner. I am interested in local history and archaeology in the Teesside area.

I can offer to do some work on the farm if this would assist my request. I am very handy, hard working and don't mind getting my hands dirty. I could do some repair works or anything required.

Thank you for reading my post. I realise that farmers are very busy people and you have probably been asked for permission before. It would be really great to receive permission from someone. It doesn't have to be a huge area, and could be a field or two.

I would be grateful if you could reply on this forum or if you prefer contact me directly on 07941882863 or email me on [email protected]

Many Thanks Peter
