What height are we talking? If 4m then buy a smaller loading shovel with a toe tip bucket and possibly create a sink area for lorries to park while loading?

I'm guessing this is in an industrial environment, readymix yard or such?

Training the driver umm... you haven’t had an incident where you tell the driver “whatever you do don’t hit the roof” then 5 minutes later he’s hit the roof! ????

wastewater treatment works.

would never get a 1990’s tractor loader passed the garages inspection :LOL:

spoke to prolec and they are hoping to sort something for us

Not so difficult to do, however it will require a ultrasonic measuring system and processor on the handler.

One issue I would give serious thought too, is that the driver will become complacent and ‘use’ the system. I.e. drive into the heap, reverse and lift, knowing it will stop lifting when it gets to it’s limit, and carry on when he exits the shed. One day the machine will be broken down and you’ll have a hire / loan machine in which won’t have the system. Then the driver will do what he always does and smash the roof.
