Yes...and so far all we have managed to plant has been six acres of winter beans....! But the tined principle seems to work well on our land and although our "prototype" only has a three metre working width we think we could easily go up to six metres with around 150hp... It will need a row of "sizing" discs to allow for residue/cover-crop management but where it differs from many other drills is with its adjustable rake which actually is part of the depth control system...there is no packer roller...simply because with all our previous attemps at a drill the packer has been the weak point...A seperate pass (Jeff Claydon's 24 hour draw-bar) with a cambridge roll or packer is fast and often better (if its too wet to pack then you shouldn't be doing it and if the surface drys out then roll)..Did this drill ever get out of the workshop Jim ?

We see this type of drill as being complimentry to a John Deere 750, Kuhn, Great Plains etc being able to work in adverse conditions and being well suited to planting cover crops and beans
