Anyone use a marker that will last long enough to be able to see going through the shedder but doesn't leave the sheep multi coloured the rest of the year?? If it lasts a day that would be perfect. Any ideas??

We've used a spot of blue spray on them in emergencies before now.

The one's from countrywide are what you want, completely useless, we marked up 100 ewes and their lambs into bunches a couple of years ago, on a Saturday ready for the Monday morning, got them in on the Monday, not a mark on them, the one's from Wynstay do last alot longer, seem to have more grease in them.

I use stick markers on their foreheads when I am sorting ewes for tupping groups. Easy to see coming down the race towards the drafter and fades in a few days as here's no wool to carry it.:)
