Situation Vacant Temporary Trials Agronomist position with Bayer CropScience around Doncaster

The following position has recently become vacant due to the previous applicant withdrawing from the process.

The Field Trials Group in Bayer CropScience Ltd is looking to recruit a Temporary Trials Agronomist on a temporary fixed term employment contract (March/April – end of September) near to Doncaster.

The Temporary Agronomist will be working with the full time Trials Agronomists in Lincs and Yorks, to help them set-up, spray, maintain, assess and harvest field trials on commercial farms on a range of arable and fruit crops to evaluate new crop protection products.

The role would ideally suit agricultural or life science students or recent graduates looking for experience within the agricultural industry although candidates with other qualifications would be considered if they demonstrated the appropriate aptitudes.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
  • An aptitude for working out of doors and sometimes on their own
  • Resourcefulness
  • A willingness to work irregular hours and sometimes at weekends, especially during harvest
  • A clean driving licence and a competence at driving (the role requires driving relatively high mileage between trial locations)
The Trials Assistant would be provided with a car for business use only and paid a competitive salary.

If you are interested please PM for further details.
