Tenants improvement amnesty deadline

I seen a thing on a website about this tenants improvement amnesty deadline of 12th June 2020. After this date if nothing agreed with landlord on improvements can’t be compensated come the end of a tenancy . I took 500 acre of a hill farm on and although our estate did a small amount of a boundary fence as agreed we have done quite a bit of internal fencing as place was a bit of a ranch, should I be acting on this and getting something in writing? I don’t really want to rock the boat so to speak with our estate but I have spent a fair bit that will never be taken into consideration. This is a Scotland by the way

I don't know anything about any amnesty and my knowledge is probably out of date anyway but to get compensation tenants' improvements used to have had to be agreed before started, also the amount. But I could be wrong. Sorry, probably not of much use. Time to consult a land agent?

Average length of amnesty talks between landlord and tenant is about 9 months so you are cutting it fine but as above consult a land agent. The amnesty was originally put forward by Scottish Land and Estates so all landlords expect to be approached by their tenants. Its your responsbility to initiate the process but a land agent will keep you right.

You are out of date
The amnesty is basically a Scottish landed estates con, dreamt up by them to buy off pressure for right to buy.
When landlords and govt were confronted with the facts about who had invested the most in rented farms, to the point that many tenants were responsible for over half the capital value of their farms, they had to do something, but this is a poor substitute for ARTB
