Terra tyre

I've a Terra tyre that won't hold air and goes flat after a couple of days. I've been to my local tyre fitter and he says it is losing air at the bead. At the moment he can't source a tube as it's a tubeless tyre. Is it possible to get a tube for this tyre? Or maybe anything else I could try instead in the meantime? It is 42x25.00-20nhs

Is the rim rusty ? Get tyre off. Polish rim up. Remove all rust. Repaint it then get your tyre man to get some of that black masticy looking bead sealer and have another go ,

He had suggested the very thing. If he can't get a tube he said to blast the rim and paint it.

I had a quad with new tyres on that wouldn't hold air, beads leaking, I broke the beads and ran a bead of bathroom silicone around them then reseated the tyre at low pressure until the silicone set.

They never went down again

If you really scour the 'net you can sometimes find new "L" seals for the beads. Often on older assemblies they're perished or missing completely.

Any decent tyre fitter should have bead sealer.

You won't get a tube. Clean the bead and use this...

......it's a liquid rubber - gob plenty of it on the tyre and the rim.

Had good results from black bitumen in the past.

I've usually ended up having to buy the big rubber o ring to get them sealed properly

I've got the exact same problem with an 800/55/30.5
...tyre fitter rubbed a bit with a wire brush....i could see he wasn't far enough in and like sweeping the pavement with a feather....but as he called it "industrial grease" as a bead sealer....thats just grease to the rest of us that use it....needless to say it's still going down albeit.....slightly slower

We get puncture proofing stuff off this lad. He has one for beads that wont seal. I know of a man that had a terra tyre that had to be blew up every morning and after he put this stuff in they didn't have the same problem again.
