Terrible wheat protein

I'm somewhat surprised that my Dawsum that has the dark 'Pears soap' colour normally associated with high protein, is measuring low 10's%.
As a hard gp4 it was never going to be a quality wheat, but it looked for all the world better than the most basic of 'Hard Biscuit' spec.
Bugger.

As an aside, some would suggest that the optimum protein for feed wheat is 10%, so at least the overpriced total N rate was about right.

Just googled Hemswell just a massive grain storage then there is a smaller one to the left of the large storage is that part of your organization or another smaller storage facility?

The big shed next door isn't ours. Tested positive for CIPCs last time we had the chance of taking it on. Shame because the eaves are high and the floor is like glass.

How are people finding their wheat protein levels. Ours have never been so low feed and millingšŸ˜¢

Terrible yields but ok proteins. Lowest 12.22. Highest 14.88.
Had it tested by 4 outlets and all have different results for the same batches of grain all bagged at the same time. :scratchhead:
Still got to cut spring wheat which should be good proteins but again looks like a very average yielding crop.
