Applications for the 2018-19 Future Farmer Foundation are now open, with 50 places available for those looking to develop a career in agriculture or aquaculture.

Founded in 2014 the programme was established to support and inspire young people in UK and Irish farming with the fifth programme intake currently well underway.

Those between the ages of 20-35 from all farming sectors, including new entrants and next generation farmers, are invited to apply.

To date, 250 young farmers have participated in the programme with 50 places available on the next 12-month programme which will start in January 2019. The programme is very much based on what young farmers need to build their careers and includes core elements such as; business planning, leadership skills and personal development.
