But make the tooling 10 times more expensive
see Sandy Munro (a bit rambling, needs some serious skips to find the good stuff)

these was no way the launch design was ever going to pass safety regs

regardless of tooling cost i bet Tesla will still keep this well under 50k - it will be a absolute no brainer

It seems that pickups in the States over a certain size are exempt from a lot of the car safety regs

they took a lot of UK deposits - I guess it has to work in all markets, Tesla have done a amazing job in the UK so far - breaking all the rules for a start up car manufacturer .......... they should have failed miserably

I am a great Tesla supporter, bought my second hand S85 four years ago and had nothing but enjoyment. They have been going through growth pains in the UK recently, with service centres and supercharger expansion failing to keep up with the massive number of Model 3 deliveries. Apparently one of the real problems for chargers is wayleaves to get the supplies to site, also DNOs requiring 99 year leases on equipment, and finally a Vegan electricity supplier having exclusive deals with motorway service areas, but failing to maintain their flaky chargers.

......and the government introduced the telecoms code (I realise this is electric not telecomes) because apparently landowners were slowing up the process!

Yeah right!

its considerably better than the last but it was like something made in garden shed !!! but still not conservative enough to sell in large numbers to pickup owners in the states who are not Tesla Groupies .
I should imagine that your average pickup owner in the states is very conservative in his requirement and there is no point in only making your pickup appeal to your die hard fans as lets face it they would buy a Tesla wheelbarrow if you built one but you are not going to make any money appealing to such a small market as them it has to be main stream acceptable. The one that actually gets built will look much like a standard pickup just as there cars now look pretty standard as for £50 K possibly but not with a big battery that will do reasonable range it will be £65k +

The Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland (HSENI) alongside the Farm Safety Partnership (FSP), has named new farm safety champions and commended the outstanding work on farm safety that has been carried out in the farming community in the last 20 years.

Two of these champions are Malcom Downey, retired principal inspector for the Agri/Food team in HSENI and Harry Sinclair, current chair of the Farm Safety Partnership and former president of the Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU).

Improving farm safety is the key aim of HSENI’s and the FSP’s work and...
