Stainless isn't very strong either, quite bendy. That prototype looks like something from a company with big ideas but no money to implement them. For some reason it makes me think of of the Hammerhead Eagle i-thrust

I agree on the tail ramp, but I suspect a bit of straw & sheep muck might cause it some problems on a ‘proper’ farm.

As for the quad, it looks like it was designed by the same drug addled art student that made the initial sketches for that hideous truck.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess....

it’s on air suspension so you will be able to make it as soft or hard as you like

Seems an amazing machine the more I look at the spec .......... just the looks to get past !

Tesla and their trucks eh!

Only a year or so ago yer man Musk was boasting of his artics (semis to the Americans) that would do a whole day on one battery charge, turned out though that the battery would weigh well over eleven tonnes so reducing the payload by 9 - 10 tonnes. The idiocy of such a proposal just couldn't be seen by his fan club who also wet themselves with excitement at the thought of the driver sitting in the middle of the cab, which again is so totally impractical as to raise the question as to how often Elon visits this planet. It was hardly original either, GM's Futureliner of the 1940's was also blessed with such a notion -

But anyway, don't think that it's just me that has such a downer on the Musk truck -

The analysis indicated that an electric semi might be feasible for short- or medium-range hauling, but would not be for long-range hauling, as the weight of the batteries required would take up too much of the weight allowed by law.[40] One estimate for the battery weight, at 11,800 kg, was estimated to account for one third of the payload, and would increase the cost of the truck to about double that of an equivalent diesel

stainless just means it has a minimum of 11% chrome in the alloy. It can be plenty strong and hard if desired. The seatbelt clip on your car is probably stainless and they are pretty hard.

The claim is its the same or very similar alloy SpaceX developed for use within some of their craft. I have no idea if that's a credible claim or marketing spin or indeed what the particular properties of the alloy are. Time will tell I suppose.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing, there is no styling, no finesse, just cheap, easy to produce straight lines without a hint of imagination being applied to how it looks. Making it out of stainless steel is probably cheaper than giving it a decent paint job as well.

On the flipside of that, if it's cheap and easy to manufacture then aftermarket parts should be cheap, which would suit farmers well?
