Also it's a (presumably) 4WD Tesla pulling an F150 left in 2WD... ?

Yep, the front wheels are turning backwards, I doubt that would happen in 4WD.

Also worth noting that the rear wheels of the F150 would have less weight on them than the front thanks to the engine position and also because of weight transfer due to it pointing downhill.

It has over 6.3m views which, to misquote Churchill slightly, just proves that a lie is half way around the world before the truth has got its boots on. Yer man Musk is nothing but a crook by this showing.

Tesla and their trucks eh!

Only a year or so ago yer man Musk was boasting of his artics (semis to the Americans) that would do a whole day on one battery charge, turned out though that the battery would weigh well over eleven tonnes so reducing the payload by 9 - 10 tonnes. The idiocy of such a proposal just couldn't be seen by his fan club who also wet themselves with excitement at the thought of the driver sitting in the middle of the cab, which again is so totally impractical as to raise the question as to how often Elon visits this planet. It was hardly original either, GM's Futureliner of the 1940's was also blessed with such a notion -

But anyway, don't think that it's just me that has such a downer on the Musk truck -

The analysis indicated that an electric semi might be feasible for short- or medium-range hauling, but would not be for long-range hauling, as the weight of the batteries required would take up too much of the weight allowed by law.[40] One estimate for the battery weight, at 11,800 kg, was estimated to account for one third of the payload, and would increase the cost of the truck to about double that of an equivalent diesel

Try as I might I can generally only get a few hours use out of my semi from a full charge....

So Musk has taken 200,000 pre order deposits for his milk float already

We've heard this before from the lad, but not everyone was impressed -

SEC documents show the commission started investigating Tesla because it believed the company might have been “making false statements of material fact or failing to disclose material facts concerning the company’s Model 3 vehicle.”

Tesla was ordered to produce company documents related to Model 3 reservations, cancellations, and deposits, including how Tesla had used or planned to use the deposit money. The SEC also demanded names and credit card numbers of customers who pre-ordered Model 3s.

And what's $100 anyway?

The average aged conservative farmer is not going to appreciate this truck. Even most millenials won't either. But for late millenials and younger, it will be very popular. I think Tesla have it spot on.

I can't see why, I was playing with that sort of silly shaped car as Matchbox toys back in the sixties, didn't think much of them then.

So the Tesla fan club closes ranks with its god Musk and cooks up any old BS to hide the fact that it's a turkey. Meanwhile, he has to drop the deposit to pocket money levels to harvest a few extra million from the redneck faction. It's more like a charity appeal than a serious attempt to sell cars. Just how many deposits would have been taken if it was the usual $2,500?

Tesla have always been more about the show - didn't they want £100k deposit on the roadster they are "doing". They are a marketing machine where the products are catching up.
