Which supplier?I have placed an order for 2 Powerwall 2’s to be installed next month. They said they are scarce, but had managed to secure 2 for me.
I better double check on Monday!
It’s pretty clever how they can work with 3 Phase if you have net metering.
Who did you use for installing these if you dont mind me asking? Cheers

I haven’t actually seen the batteries yet, and I do have a small concern that someone else will push in front of me, so I’m keeping the installers name to myself until I’ve actually got them.

What is wrong with your Velux skylights?If the Velux panels are anything like my Velux skylights, then bargepoles would come to mind
I have fitted some where in the region of 100 over the years, and never ever have any hint of a problem with them.

We have 5 of the so called architectural sky lights. They leak heat faster than a boiling kettle, plus they cannot be motorised, but that is an issue the architect and builder should have sorted.

Yes and no, the fact is they are not and never were up to the claimed spec for heat retention.

There’s the brains for it called the Gateway that has to be close to the electricity meter. It’s about 40cm x 60cm x 12cm.
It looks quite smart so is ok in the house.

Seeing the two Tesla power pac makes me wonder what would happen if there was a house fire,wife was telling me over dinner about a Tesla car that was in an accident, not An overly serious one but short;y after the car burst into flames. Fire department used 4000 gallons of water to put it out compared to an average of 700 hundred. After it was towed to a storage compound it apparently caught fire another three time and fire department ended up tipping it over to get better access to the battery’s. Wouldn’t like to be trapped in one after hearing that.
Solar panels do not produce enough energy for heating. In the winter you would need thousands of panels to heat your house or even to run a heatpump. CHP generators are the way forward right now.
