Had confirmation today that my 2 Powerwalls will be with the installer tomorrow.
Which supplier?I have placed an order for 2 Powerwall 2’s to be installed next month. They said they are scarce, but had managed to secure 2 for me.
I better double check on Monday!
It’s pretty clever how they can work with 3 Phase if you have net metering.
Who did you use for installing these if you dont mind me asking? CheersJust under 15k plus vat for 2 Powerwalls and a Gateway 2 including installation.
Jimmy90 & Beefsmith,Who did you use for installing these if you dont mind me asking? Cheers
What is wrong with your Velux skylights? If the Velux panels are anything like my Velux skylights, then bargepoles would come to mind
We have 5 of the so called architectural sky lights. They leak heat faster than a boiling kettle, plus they cannot be motorised, but that is an issue the architect and builder should have sorted. What is wrong with your Velux skylights?
I have fitted some where in the region of 100 over the years, and never ever have any hint of a problem with them.
Ah, so you have fitted the incorrect specification. Not a design or manufacturing problem .We have 5 of the so called architectural sky lights. They leak heat faster than a boiling kettle, plus they cannot be motorised, but that is an issue the architect and builder should have sorted.
Yes and no, the fact is they are not and never were up to the claimed spec for heat retention.Ah, so you have fitted the incorrect specification. Not a design or manufacturing problem .
That looks pretty smart. Apart from wires is there any other control boxes, etc to go on the wall?Powerpac are installing these today.
you had better go and buy some lottery ticketsPowerpac are installing these today.
No, I think I’ve used my luck up for a few years now.you had better go and buy some lottery tickets
There’s the brains for it called the Gateway that has to be close to the electricity meter. It’s about 40cm x 60cm x 12cm.That looks pretty smart. Apart from wires is there any other control boxes, etc to go on the wall?
You cant, full stop! How are people heating their homes with battery storage from PV. Do you run an electric boiler or storage heaters?
Heat pump I'd imagine. How are people heating their homes with battery storage from PV. Do you run an electric boiler or storage heaters?
Solar panels do not produce enough energy for heating. In the winter you would need thousands of panels to heat your house or even to run a heatpump. CHP generators are the way forward right now.Ok. Our power use is fairly low in the farm house, it’s the heating oil that’s the big one. I wondered if you upgraded to an electric boiler on a central heating system or a modern storage heater wouldn’t that work? I’m not fully up on this
