Test and trace

If people are doing what they are supposed to do then there should be very few contacts to trace for new cases. People in same household. Possibly some people at work where social distancing difficult, a few exceptions to this where social distancing impossible (eg if you are a care worker). Possibly others if public transport has been used and was overcrowded.

I think we all know that many people aren’t social distancing at all. Work vans with two or more people in , farm contractors in the same tractor and people crammed onto beaches etc .

Driven game shooting requires beaters who travel in unison from drive to drive. Social distancing in a covered trailer is impossible. As many are pensioners and vulnerable they are hardly likely to turn up. For the guns it is a little easier because they can travel in their own cars since they start and finish each drive at the same place. The social side, which for me is more than half the pleasure, will be practically non existent.
With regard to the ploughing, it is quite physically demanding and the joys of turning out at 6am on a cold wet winters morn are losing their attraction.
Way to go uncle Bob !!!
From what I remember of your shooting, you were only invited for your social expertise???

Well, Johnson promised "world beating" test & trace by June 1st ............... and as far as I know the App they are relying on isn't even off the launch pad officially yet. Indeed, I heard a government minister suggest this morning that it will be the Autumn until it's in place.

Why does he say these things?
