Texel x Mule Shearlings

Aye-up,

We have for sale 35 Texel x Mule shearling ewes. All from a local farm, we buy a bunch each year as weaned lambs and run them round to sell for breeding.

Mostly half Texel, some 3/4

All up to date with wormer, good on their feet. Due their second Heptavac shot in the next 2-3 weeks.

Grazed all last summer and autumn, grass, hay and fodder beet during winter, grazing now, never been fed a concentrate.

Not sure what to value them at. If you’re interested get in touch, I doubt we’ll fall out.

Cheers, Pete. 07710 145445.

Talking to a local sheep farmer yesterday who said Texel x Mule shearling ewes were making strong money last week at the Rugby Breeding Sheep Sale. Think he said £130-£142

We still have these and would be very pleased with that kind of money.

Ewe at front with length and frame if in a bunch I’d say 142 at Thame Thursday. Ewe behind to left that granted similar but maybe a fraction leaner and marginally smaller ewe I’d say mid 130s. Less the commission and possibly haulage I’d say fairly high 120s for run wouldn’t be far off
