TexX ewes - which Tup to use?

Nah, I'm just expecting next to feck all happening for the first 10-14 days :ROFLMAO:

I should keep my mouth shut!!

TexX ewe prolapsed first thing this morning. I saw her away by herself where she had been hanging around, the night before (and acting like a ewe readying to lamb) so was disappointed to see her prolapsed. Went on my way and fed/checked the rest of the ewes, dug out a harness and went back to her. Decided to just take a drive round this lot again, mostly just to see and admire yesterday's lambs.
To my surprise and delight another was lambed. That soon turned to disappointment as I realised it was a big single, dead :( she's a maiden gimmer so I caught her and wet fostered the twin from yesterday on. So a frantic drive to town for lambing supplies followed, then the shed got a liberal scattering of hydrated lime and fresh straw.
She's shut in tonight and I'll head up soon to see they've bonded.

I'm not sure if this is pre-lambing, lambing. The beginning, the start of the beginning, the end of the beginning... or the beginning of the end ( :bag: ) but lambing 2018 seems to be here!

It's pretty cold here... but things is drying up nice, there's no gutters or slippy stodgy gateways and there's no fear of not managing to climb up any steep bits on the hill.

Couldn't get a picture tonight - camera on my phone wouldn't work for some reason (software glitch).. will take one in morning if i have time (I've some scruffy Hogg's I'm taking to Longtown store sale). TexX ewe lambed at 5pm tonight. Cracking set of twins. Up, sucked and on the move by time I found her but they were both still damp. Hopefully there will be some more before long, the excitement of lambing is starting to grip me and I'm looking forward to it now... it helps my very long list of things to get done before I start, is down to only 1 or 2 things left to do (y)

More snow here today than they talked... it's almost not stopped all day

Sadly had a ewe lambs this morning - an aged girl who should know what she's doing... but she dropped then in a boggy bit on an exposed hillside :banghead: 1 lamb drowned in the bag, the other a small softer thing which died in the heatbox. Lifted one from the twin from 2 days ago... not ideal but at least I'm still at 100%

After making my own heatbox... I'm feeling crafty. Turned my attention to my bike seat

I watched a video or 2 on YouTube, bought the material on eBay (from a motorcycle supplies company) and an upholstery staple gun and staples... tonight is the first chance I've had to get at it

Staple the front, pull like feck and staple the back...

Then tack, stretch, tack, stretch, tack... just keep working round doing opposites and keep pulling all the slack until it's tight to the foam and as smooth as you can get it(y)

I'll find out tomorrow if it's a good job or not

I had one that needed doing father in law got it recovered for me for £40. Was soòoo nice not to have a soggy arse every time i sat down on it

£40 is good!!
Material was £18 delivered, plus I had to buy the staple gun, £15 (I kept away from the really cheap ones) then a box of 2000 staples was £3... from start to finish was around 2 hours I think, maybe 2.5.

I had asked a seamstress to do it, but she avoided the subject

The old cover had gone really hard where it split... Damned thing was biting my arse every time I sat down. Was fed up with it :ROFLMAO:
