The singles are looking fit are you feeding them?

They're the hill twins in that pic. Not getting fed at all. I'm only feeding the ewe lambs, triplets and inbye twins... about 145kgs going out to 300hd daily. It's a cheap winter so far! I'd be hauling out 350kgs a day by this point last year

Hill twins, singles and the early lambing group are getting nothing

Aye, it's my fault.

It's the youngest /latest lambs from running next door - the summer grass ground which gets bothered with Cocci. I'd time the dose right for the majority (250 lambs) but this last handful would have probably been too young when dosed for it to do any good.

Just shows how critical the timing is with these things. Hopefully, they'll do on lower/better ground and a good bit more feeding (I've seen them come good by May) - but I've kept them/grew them on as much as I can
Have you ever tried cocci buckets @Nithsdale Farmer we used to get a fair bit of cocci here and they sorted it right out it worked loads better than going in with vecoxan

Tried to look into them a few years ago but local merchant didn't seem very helpful or bothered about selling them so stayed with Vecoxan... Last year is one of the very few I should've done 2 doses a month apart - but most years 1 well timed is fine (usually coincides with Nemo so lambs are in pens anyway)

View attachment 1011357Lovely and cold down here this morning. Make it better to be running ewes through for scanning than being pee'd wet though. Sheep look really well for being dry as well ( well most anyway!).

I didn't take a pic of my dashboard... but here's my wheels, had to sweet talk Catherine by offering her a ride 🤣

Gathering the hill yesterday I spied a ewe lamb away the other side of the hill from the rest - had a drive round but obviously missed it. Looked dead in the binos so up to fetch it home this morning
