TFF exists to provide a credible and big enough platform where ANY individual or group of farmers can represent THEMSELVES

you can represent your own views or maybe form a group with others yourself? (as a group has in this case) - I an aware of several in existence and there are probably others I’m unaware off as well

TFF “endorses” no one - it is independent / neutral in its views. My personal views as a farmer are not those of this platform, same applies to all TFF employees and moderators
But you got your name in on their submission, even though its nothing to do with you.

Wonder why that was necessary then?

what bit of “my personal views and opinions are not those of tff” are you struggling with ?

you do know that ownership / running of a forum doesn’t mean you are never allowed a PERSONAL view or opinion ever again ?

TFF is not @Clive and @Clive is not TFF. ….. we / I do no more than help facilitate its existence, TFF is ALL of its members to use however threy choose to

Just to add it must be a lot of work to prepare things for @holwellcourtfarm to present to EFRA I certainly wouldn’t want that job or have the time so well done to him on that I say.
Spot on, and he did a fabulous job. To have a number of MP’s firing questions at you, to think on your feet and give coherent answers, takes real skill. I said it to him directly and I’ll say it publicly on here, @holwellcourtfarm was excellent.

Have you above just given your permission for any member of the forum to form a group and use the forum logo in its name?

That says it all to be honest Sid, I've always been polite and add humour as much as I can to my posts but your actually saying you wouldn't politely ask the owner of the forum if it was OK first ?
Is there no decency left in the world.
OK for what? To use his forum as a meeting point? Or to use TFF in you access restricted group

He just said TFF is everyones to use as they wish.

With his (that he mentions on the forum ) experience and knowledge of farming over the years and different types plus the ea work and communication ability, he is very good choice for a representative, he also would get my vote.
so thats 2 i would vote for :sneaky:....
...so far

Came in and saw I'd got a sh!t load of 'alerts' and this thread has escalated to 23 pages :eek:

Can't decide if it's one of these...

or one of these..........................

Now, having trawled through it all and read the pdf's of the submissions (which, when I downloaded mine, only 15 others had done the same - read into that what you will  ) I'm still inclined towards the storm in a teacup option.

On a more constructive note, if any of the Grassroots Group have still got the will to live and are still looking in at this thread, could I ask roughly how much time they spent collectively PM'ing one another in order to put their submissions together?

I'm guessing, with 14 opinions to-ing and fro-ing, it would be quite considerable.

I only ask in case any others want to form their own group(s) in order to do the same.

TIA.

TFF gives EVERY member permission to use this platform to represent agriculture / your opinions freely and independently however they desire. It’s fundamentally why it exists

you all do so every-time you post here

If TFF is neutral how come threads about the Agricultural Matters forum were all deleted?

Our private message thread is 100ish pages long and some of the posts are very long and detailed. It was a job to keep up at times o_O

Farmers want the grass root voice heard by those making the discussion but when a few farmers get together who met on TFF do something to put THEIR views forward some grass root farmers are not happy. Big discussion will be made in the next few years that will change farming forever. You can support the organisations or groups you agree with or make sure your voice is heard in different ways to those making the discussions. Complaining about those trying to do something is not helping grass root farming.

we don’t ever moderate on opinion

we only moderate if forum rules are broken, rules are in s nutshell “legal and decent” “un commercial unless supporting forum” and “civl behaviour / no trolling between members”

i would be uttey horrified if any moderator deleted posts simply because their personal opinion was different, it doesn’t happen

in the case of allowing promotion of a forum run by a. ex employee we had to make redundant for gross misconduct why would we do so ? Promotion of other websites / products and services is only something that we allow those that support TFF to do
