32:00 for me today. This years best time
I’m doing a 10k trail run in the morning. Yippee

Done the Scorton 10k. This morning
Nice trail race but over grass field tracks most of the way. Too rutty and lumpy for my delicate feet really
But I wasn’t last, I ran all the way and I did it in 70:58 minutes. Which is a minuet faster than the last 10k
Onwards and upwards x

I haven't done any runs for some time now, I've been so busy.

I'm still getting prepped for my charity challenge starting on the 18th of September, my 29th birthday, which will run for a whole year.

I just thought I'd check in here and see how everyone was doing, it's been a while but you're all still going strong I see.

Was travelling back last Saturday so dipped out, away camping this weekend in the proverbial "middle of nowhere" and won`t be in a fit state to drive to a Parkrun!
September 7th is next up for me, see if the rest has helped!! :)

It's three years since I started running. R1W1 of C25K HURT so much. I couidn't believe how out of shape I'd got. That wake up call make me stick with it, and I went on to run my first parkrun 2 oe 3 months later. That was just the wrong side of 30 mins.

I'm down to 23:22 now. I love parkrun. I'm 3 stones lighter and feeling so much more alive.

Running has taken over my life a bit, I've run half a dozen half marathons, and will attempt my second full one next month.

Have to say I’m heading the same way. Did my first park run about 3 months ago around 30 mins down into the 25s now. and last night I ran 10.75 miles in an 1hr 35 mins. Well chuffed.
Mentally I find it a wonderful mood improver !
Congratulations on your marathon success that’s my next goal before going on to do a triathlon.

Sound similar to my story. I have done 5 half marathons this year already and another one planned for 3 weeks time. No plans to ever do a marathon. I think I would struggle with the long training runs. Although I have entered the draw for London marathon. Not much chance of me getting into it though. I just don't seem to be losing any weight. People tell me I look like I've lost weight, but still 13 and a half stone. Good luck with the marathon.

Well done. The first sub 25 is a big one to achieve. The three targets I set myself were that, a sub 2hr half, and a sub 50min 10km. I've done them all, in that order... I never thought I would!

I ran parkrun in 23:04 yesterday. A new pb. Sooner or later old age is going to catch up with me and I'll plateau. I'm 50. It's all going in the right direction at the moment still.

Just gone back to it. Over 34 mins for me. Males - Farmer, 13 and 10 yrs old all around 22 mins. Gutting....got a long way to go.

My issue is due the the strenuous exercise and not being used to it plus overweight 3 hrs after the run I am completely exhaust out for 2hrs. I am unable to cope with doing anything. Ive looked this up and its common for many not to do any exercise in the day and just do evenings. Its def not glucose or any other health issue its my body saying Ive killed it off. Any tips on this as unless I sleep it off I cant exist on Saturday afternoon. Anyone else have same issue?

I had exactly the same for the first 2 or 3 months, eventually it improved mostly by keep running and the body adapting. At least now I can get home after the run, have breakfast and then "do stuff" !

283rd out of 400+ on Saturday............... 31 minutes and a few seconds, I know my pace!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Got 4 on the hill with a brutal bit of effort.... (y)(y)

And don`t worry about other peoples pace, winner gets round ours in 17 minutes or so, leave them too it!
I set small goals from the start, like getting to a particular point without walking then moving that further away until I ran the whole thing. It`s still 3.1 miles!
Now I know I can run it all at a steady 10 minute mile and I`m fairly happy with that.

Lost a whole 2lbs as well!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Having done 30 miles mountain biking on Friday my legs where in no fit state to do a parkrun on Saturday, Having refueled on steak and beers we carried on with the second day of the Trans Cambrian route, another epic 50miles with endless climbs and thrilling descents. Pity I couldn't stay to complete the last leg but Sunday was almost as much an effort, I was having to run between the trailer and grain pusher in order to keep up as we combined though to 3am this morning. A weekend to remember! Despite everything hurting right now I feel so much better than I did a week ago :D:D

I'd take it a bit easier if it was having that affect on me. You could try a magnesium supplement, that's good for aches.

IIWY I'd try to run three times per week, but just for 20 mins at a steady comfortable pace. Your body will adapt and you'll get used to it. No word of a lie, London Marathon didn't make me hurt nearly as much as the first week of C25K did.
