Does anyone have experience of running with a 7 day heart monitor? I’ve got one being put on next week but they want me to carry on marathon training so that they see what they are looking for….is it quite stable or do I need to order something so that it sits better?

I have absolutley no experience of what this piece of kit looks like, but I guess it will be much smaller and more user friendly than one would think possible, I would wait until it is fitted before spending any money on a holder of some description. I suspect it will just be a chest strap as used by many atheletes already with no problems. However, I am only guessing.

Thank you both! Managed to speak to a few people who have had one. Apparently there’s a little box you have to carry around? But it can be put in to something like a waist phone holder or something!

I’m on my 12th park run on the trot. Started at just over 30 mins and hit 28:11 on Saturday…hoping to be up to 26 by the summer
19:26 yesterday, came 4th out of 242, 1st in age group, 1st and 2nd were essentially children. Nearly 2 minutes off my best, I'm not that fit and it was very windy
19:00 today. 9th out of 277
26.58 came 40th out of 116.

19:10 this morning, not really feeling it, so not a bad time considering. 2nd in age category, 8th out of 270

On the other end of the scale, I was 38:15 this morning, four minutes quicker than last week, and I didn't get lapped, which is a result 
Club 5km time trial tonight that I wasn't prepared for, but got 18:41, which, all things considered I'm fairly pleased with
19:14 last Saturday, it was very windy and I got double chicked, which frankly, is an embrasment. Said chicks were both in my club, one is about young enough to be my daughter.

Ran fountains abbey today…one of the most beautiful park runs I’ve been to

Could be worse.. I’ve not done a Park run for some time but the last two I ran I finished behind the same “chick” a lady well into her 70s
