I've somehow managed to miss the last six Parkruns, I know I skipped two because of a cold, but where the other 4 went I have no idea :scratchhead:
Anyway, I got back there yesterday, and did a very stately 37 minutes (although I don't think that was my actual time: I overtook a girl in the last few yards, and she's down as being nearly a minute behind. I suspect there's a couple of extra clicks on the stopwatch happening, or being missed!)
I've been asked to pull in the ToW nationals again in June, so I will now be running daily for the next six weeks, to get fit and lose some weight. The plan is to be able to beat my best time of 29 minutes in July. (y)

I've done 59 runs at my home Parkrun now, and never been a 'tourist'. I'm planning on changing that, and with a couple of weeks in Scotland in June, I'm going to try and do the Plean and Lanark Moor runs . . . nice quiet ones!

That's interesting, I obviously wasn't the only one who noticed that the times were out of sync, as we've been shifted up a place now, I'm officially a few seconds quicker, and the gaps look about right now for how far behind the redhead I was, and how far behind me the blonde that I overtook was!

Our local parkrun is cancelled this weekend as there is a festival in the park.
It`ll give me time to recover, seems I`ve ripped a tendon in my little finger which is a funny shape so its splinted. Nipped into x-ray (job perk) and there is a bit of bone floating around where it shouldn`t be.
The gravel rash isn`t as bad as it was..... :D:D

The battle back to fitness starts here!
I was nearly on time this morning, (ran from the car park and crossed the start with the back of the pack), and ran it as quick as I think I realistically could have, and got:

which is nearly seven and a half minutes more than my best time, this time last year.
I'll give myself until the end of July to knock those minutes off, and get myself a new personal best.
(I did have a silly idea about keeping up with my sister by the end of the summer, but she just ran a 25 minutes today, so I can't see that happening in a hurry!)
