I managed this mountain race on Saturday. Hard going. My legs are still sore. Really enjoyed it. Probably the last race there will be for a long time. Was looking forward to a few more mountain races this year, but looks like I will be running on my own for a while.

Not a park run but I’ve just had my quickest 5k in years and years, under 30 mins :cool: As soon as I started marathons my pace just slowed down regardless of distance :meh:
Maybe running repeatedly round fields is a good thing :ROFLMAO:
Fair play, there's certainly been some interesting Strava maps. :cool:

Hope everyone is still keeping up the running. I struggle running on my own. With the roads being quieter my daughters have started cycling beside me. Great company. Stay safe everyone.
I've been trying to do 5k every Saturday morning, but as you say its hard on your own.

After what seems like a very,very long time I`ve hit the streets and park near home. Its been hard, and the first 2 or 3 runs I certainly pushed too hard and suffered for it. On that note I`m now on 2 or 3 runs a week if it feels right. Just local 3-5k to keep the body moving.
Working from home is killing basic fitness, normally walk 1.5 miles each way, several flights of stairs etc so I`m determined to use the "commuting time" saved for exercise..........but its been a bit nippy first thing!

I know........wimp!! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Well....... he`s back at some sort of consistent running at last.
Ran 5 miles Sat, 4 miles Sun, 3 miles Mon then rest day Tuesday and a 3 mile run before work this morning.
Not sure if that is a plan but it seems to work. Mixed it up with hills and lamp post sprints.
Can`t see either parkrun being back or having to travel into work this side of Christmas so had to get off my backside!

I would say so. I can`t see anyway of safely managing parkrun nor HQ taking the risk.

Start is OK for some venues but certainly not for others. I`ve touristed at one where they had time boards and you queued at your rough time slot to start as the path was about 3 foot wide and there was no overtaking in the first 500 yards!!

Once you are off and running it`s not too bad.

Biggest problem is the finish.

I won`t be rushing to volunteer for finish funnel/token/scanning etc.
Its bad enough with the normal sweat,spit and occasional vomit let alone the potential of someone being asymptomatic and spreading it.
