Hasn`t taken long to get back into the usual weekly scramble for volunteers, last week we nearly pulled the timekeepers to marshall points and were going to give everyone 59:59.
Ironic that people were screaming blue murder for parkrun to restart yet its the same old faces doing the jobs that make it happen.
A new local one was launched at Watermead which took some pressure off but we`ve also lost some volunteers to it!
Gammy leg precludes me from joining in at the moment.

Same here, we've also lost 2 run directors during lockdown for various reasons which only leaves us with 2, nobody seems keen to take it on but its not sustainable long term.:(

Everything is just a little strange at the moment re Parkrun, hopefully things will settle to a new normal soon. Lots of people who were regular volunteers (non runners, but enjoyed the social part of it especially some of the more elderly of the Parkrun community), may, I suspect, still be cautious of large groups for medical reasons. The world is different now, some changes will be permanent, but many I think will slowly return.

Alas no, although I am not feeding the cattle tomorrow morning, I am doing Xmas dinner for family and although I am well prep-ed, even to disappear for an hour or so in the morning, it will feel like i am deserting my post. However, I will be there New Years day......................( BUT,..... having said that, ................................if I am ahead of the game at 8 40am, and everything is under control I may just shoot off and join the parkrun .
