I wondered about having a thread for recommending certain tradesmen that are handy around the farm. We have well known concreters, ground workers, steel frame builders, plumbers etc. on here, but I'm sure there are plenty of good trades members know that don't post on the forum.

What happens if a member is a mate, is crap at what he does and expects you to recommend him?

Don't!

If he's a true mate, he'll understand. Otherwise, he's using you.
If he's good at what he does, he won't need your recommendation to get work.
If he's no good at it, then shame on you for recommending someone who isn't any good just to attempt to keep a mate happy.

As the saying goes:

"People that matter won't mind. People that mind, don't matter."
