It's gone cold here in Cumbria, quite a plain day really for June, with the longest day just round the corner it begs the question,have we seen the best of summer 2024?
Let's hope not but it just has the feel, like you normally have in about August where it stops you in your tracks and you suddenly realise autumn is just round the corner

It's been chucking down here today (Leicestershire) cloudy and generally shite but I can't let myself think that we won't get a summer.
I find june is very overrated and is often not very warm.

Was back to two coats, wooly hat and gloves when taking sheep and lambs out past high cup nick, was glad to get back home next to the fire

Then its downhill.
Recon June is heading for a washout. I don't necessarily mean the rain, but a cold damp and miserable one. Bit like 91 or was it 92 Highland show was flooded and some clipping still to be done end of August.
