JACKPOT,

I have done it, all that I set out to do, has Finally come together, the first person to do all the Rural Counties of England, and to do it all unaided, with no backup crew, is just something else, I have had a fantastic time and met some great folk along the way, my thanks go out to all the people on route that helped out in many ways,
and thanks them that has given something for Cancer Research UK please donate online for my run,

Congratulations! What a great achievement and I bet was loads of fun too. What did you reckon was the droughtiest county you visited?
It was amazing from start to finish,

to be fair it was very dry all around the country, in general anything with some growth / cover on it, looked dry but was just green, anything cut short / eaten off, was next door to dead,
it seemed to be really bad along the south coast, the south facing land on a gentle slop down to the sea, would get the full power of the sun, along with the light winds off the sea, really sapped the moisture out of the land, and this had taken its toll on any grass land, same could be said for the New Forest, only thing that was green was the bracken and weeds,
the south west of England had also taken its toll from the heat,
but to be fair, no part of the country has escaped it,
Grain crops looked good, but I would think yield would be down, although straw seemed to look normal, so may not be any less than other years, However demand will be up,

Congratulations on successfully completing your trip, quite a feat going all that way with it would appear no mechanical problems. Being a bit of a 135 fan I'm curious about the history of your tractor. Going by the reg number I'm guessing the original dealer who sold your tractor when new would have been jack olding of Coupar Angus in Perthshire?

I bought the tractor in 2012 from a farm at Kippen Stirling, and I am the 5th owner, thats as much as I know
