Why has the Amazone Condor drill been such a negative drill?
I know of a 15mtr Condor that is giving the most consistent plant cover in a very stony soil that I have seen.

Don't see why ?
Looks a similar concept to many successful North American machines.
Build quality ?
Amazone only really have a presence here with fert spreaders & some hay gear, so I am not at all familiar with them as a brand

I would ditch that on board air tank & go with a trailed air cart, apart from that my biggest concern would be trash flow / clearance between the tynes ( as we retain all our crop stubble & residue ) as that is a big priority for us

There is a 12 meter one recently sold an hour away from me. Apparently performing very well with 175 hp pulling it. If they offered a disk Coulter setup for it I’d be tempted. It’d help with trash flow and some of the country I seed has lots of root mass needing cut to let the tines run cleaner.

What info do you want?
I had a look at this drill at cereals. Looks very smart.
One worry we had was that there was only one ram on each section for down force.

does anyone have experience of this drill on hard, dry clay soil and wet clay?I love our 8 year old sprinter but the rear packer is such a headache in a dd situation.

There must be one in the country for you to pay someone to drill a bit on your place with?

Why a headache? The rear packer is the main reason I bought my sprinter 😂

On our soil in the autumn it just stops going round, and in the spring it makes lumps and drops then on the seed row. It’s a good drill but now starting to find its limitations in no till

Oh crikey I see. Did you check out the Horsch Taro ST? Not trailed but similar leg design. Be interested to hear how you get on with the condor 👍

No idea what that is! We’ve had the sprinter for 8 years been a fantastic machine.
Nor did I until the other day; went to the Horsch place at Peterborough for some bits and saw this. Apparently it was at Cereals but I didn’t go. Front hopper rear toolbar type thing but never seen a Horsch leg like that in this country.
