Possession of a residence permit will be compulsory from October 31, 2020 for anyone over the age of 18 (1) . Until October 31, 2020, your rights in terms of stay, professional activity and all your social rights will be maintained .
You have six months from the date of withdrawal from the UK (ie until 30/04/2020) to apply for a residence permit.
Residence permits obtained before the UK withdrawal date from the EU will remain valid for one year. They must be exchanged during this period, including if it is a permanent residence card.
How to prepare your application for a residence permit online?
To make your request, you will need to send a photographed or scanned copy of your passport and one or more additional documents depending on your situation (see table link ).
Make sure you have all these pieces before starting your online process.
Documents photographed or digitized must respect the formats .pdf, .png, .jpeg or .jpg.
Each document submitted as a voucher must have a different name .
The maximum weight of each file can not exceed 5 MB.
What are the steps of the residence permit application procedure?
After information of the administrative data and download of the vouchers, a confirmation of your request will be sent to you by mail with a registration number of registration.
Once your file instructed, an e-mail will be sent to you in order to fix an appointment in prefecture to finalize your request (taking of prints, photographs, justification of the payment of the tax).
Your residence permit will be sent to your home address.
