Why no faith in them?! Great trade both places for the right goods. Always reckon bakewell to be a store market not a fat place.

Rugby's fat has transformed in the last 12 months. Regularly 120+ in most Mondays. Now Emma is there I think it's gone a step further. Melton is a lot better than when Tim was selling there, Martin has got plenty of buyers but the jury is out on how he'll fare when things get stickier. I've no dog in the fight either just calling it how I see. If they're smart E/U grade types they want sending live whatever the weight.

Nothing wrong with Bakewell as a fat market. They have numbers of cattle and the buyers but bagshaws take so much commission which puts a few off.

Just looking through last few weeks on AHDB, rugby does seem to trump Bakewell though. Obviously the EC effect is working.
just looked at rugbys report, at least one no stun buyer so there out the hat!

there are no no stun abattoirs in Scotland. And Qms have it in writing that nothing scotch assured can go no stun . But maybe that’s changed as would be a couple of years ago since they had that in their literature. Just checked in the standards and it’s still the case that all processor sites must not use any non stun slaughter . Qms.
