Its just a game of brinkmanship at the moment with the EU playing hard ball to try and spook the uk, if you listen to some people you would think if we get no deal we ard finished, our trade with the EU is around 7% of uk gdp and even with no deal most of that is likely to continue albeit with tariffs at WTO levels but of course that will be balanced out with the lower currency, the EU imports to us will face a double whammy, the only weapon they have at the moment is financial services, I remember when the crash hit most people wanted every banker taken out and shot, all of a sudden remainers think they are the saviours

13 months after the vote and a mere 20 months remaining until the two year exit, not a single inch of ground has been covered on the exit path.
Nobody but nobody in either opposition or government has a clue as to what exactly they want to achieve as an exit goal.
The levels of befuddlement, confusion, chaos, lack of detail, lack of vision, lack of direction, etc, etc is absolutely incredible !!!

This whole thing is seriously looking like a bit of devilment conjured up around a fire on waste ground by a bunch of adolescent teenagers, who are high as kites on the stash of low grade cider they have borrowed from the back of a lorry!

Honestly, if the board of directors of a PLC acted with such wreckless abandonment in running the affairs of the company, they would most likely end up facing criminal charges !
and the irish government did better?
bertie reckons you missed the boat!

He's right though. The EU can mightily fudge off and die. The UK was not built by pussies and all those who now benefit from their inheritance should remember that. Most of us got what we have got because our country is not some second world back water, but a major world player. It appears that many would like to see us accept our place as a minnow and go quietly into the night. fudge all of them. As a great man once said 'pee up a rope fudgestick'. Bugger off. If we are so unimportant, why does anyone care? We can be discarded and be left alone with our inbred racist bigotry.

Actually, I think I realised some months ago that I was well out of a country full of (and I quote you) "inbred racist bigotry" (y).

Going back to the Boris who actually achieved something, it seems that just a couple of weeks back he was made bankrupt to the tune of over 30 million, yet he can comment on bbc about matches at Wimbledon as though he doesn't have a care in the world. How does he manage that?:scratchhead:

Urm, regardless whether you can vote or note would you rather say your head of state was TM or Macron? :D

I'll take Macron over any of that shower of sh!t

Obviously you cannot want to "remain" being British. The only people I have heard complaining so much about the UK as you are those first generation so called Aussies of UK descent who despise everything British. Why complain so much about a country you have rejected and to which you have no intention of returning to live? Why not just enjoy your life in France and ignore the UK? You have no feeling for it other than contempt. Life is too short to bear such grudges. You will live a lot longer if you simply forget about the UK and let it sort itself out without continually denigrating the country and its people - bearing in mind that most of the posters on here are British and wish to continue living in the UK.

There is a slight problem. You would be stateless if you reject your British citizenship now, so the horrible UK government would protect you by not allowing you to become stateless. So, unless you can become a Czech citizen via your wife, you will have to "remain" a British subject. I suppose you do not like that, but neither do I like being a citizen of the EU, which I have been since Maastricht.

Why not? My fil still complains about the communists. No one has to read my posts, like I don't read cave idiots for eg.

Why not what? Why not become a Czech citizen? It seems to me that it would be a good move given your view of the UK, and it makes you an EU citizen still after Brexit and before you can be a French one. In fact you need never become a French citizen. Given the choice I think I would prefer to be Czech. Have you tried their slivovice? Absolutely brilliant from the right place - rahter similar to whisky, some are really good and others I do not like. I like some French wines (usually the more expensive ones) and not others.

I read your posts because you often write things which make me think, and now and again I agree with you. The same goes for many other posters on here. It would be very boring if we all agreed/disagreed with the same posters on every topic - although at times it does seem rather like that if you follow who consistently "likes" posts from certain other posters, and never "likes" posts from certain other posters. You and I fall in neither category in respect of each other.

All part of the divide and conquer narrative the federalists play, usually it's by using our own money

Do you want us to elect one on your behalf. I propose we give you Luke Ming Flanagan :whistle:
