I've probably got a cost analysis we did a few years back if you're interested ?

Did you milk sheep Tim W? How did you're cost analysis perform for dairying versus commercial meat production?

I don't milk sheep
Milk (when done well) is more profitable than meat
But (there is always a but) you need to get the marketing right---either
1) Find a wholesaler that will take the milk
2) Sell/process it yourself---go into partnership with a small scale processor

Look up Orchid Meadow Dairy (Dorset) or The Sheep Milk Company for inspiration

Thanks Tim. The sheep involved read to be quite soft in the feet and not very winter hardy a lot more work and infrastructure required to keep them healthy and alive especially in colder climates?

Worms/fluke is a huge consideration as most you can’t use while their lactating and there’s some which say Never give to a Ewe destined for milking.
