What about drilling into chopped cereal straw? Can it claim an advantage for that?

yes I think it rightly could do as it is less likely to hairpin than the 750a or other disc drills

there are other / cheaper ways to solve the issue though but if 2nd cereals etc are very much your thing then there is a little more case for the CS IMO
