Investigation of a hole that appeared where a farm track crosses a major ditch. Years ago it was just a stone wall with huge stone slabs but to widen the track concrete pipes were laid either side to allow the track to cope with wider kit. One of the original slabs had collapsed and part of the supporting wall had been washed out so tomorrow I'll find out what the man wants to do now we can see the damage.

tidy work! what do you think of the 135? what model kubota and what do you think of it?
Yes the hitachi is nice, genuine machine. I do prefer the doosans but i dont right the checks. Would love a grab and tree shear for it. The kubota is a kx 057.4, 2000 hours and a great digger. With only the normal wear and tear mainly on tracks and buckets could do with some new metal. Prefer ditching with that than the 13tonner.

Nice to be able to get out and do some tidying with this cold weather.
Could do with a windscreen though, there's been a bitter wind blowing over this place all week and everytime I swing round a bit more of me freezes 😂

I've got a window and door on the JS130 but they only fit where they touch, that's if they stay shut. What would be nice would be a heater that works ;)

I had a good heater but the alternator blew up and I had to redo a lot of wiring to fit the new one and make it work, so now I have no heater 😔

At least with doing everything myself, moving and tipping the trailer along with walking backwards and forwards moving the kit between the tidy up jobs I've been on today has given me a chance to not get completely frozen.
