That only shows the day time figures, there is a about a cumulative inch and a half for the nights. We've still got fields needing a first cut without any proper growth on them. I really hope we get a dry spell after the rainy one... assuming it comes as forecast... :banghead:
For once I’ll say keep your rain at the weekend. Had the 6th booked for two months for shearing. Only last night did they take the rain cloud off Saturday:sneaky:

Let’s hope so. A wet fortnight at the beginning of June would be just perfect for my late drilled Spring Barley and fodder beet, and my grass fields will all be grazed tight ready to fly with a drink.?

My birthday is June 2nd. I was born in a violent thunderstorm and it was a running joke with my mother that there are always thunderstorms on my birthday. It is uncanny how often it has happened too. You can all thank me later.:)

My apologies for the delay of a few hours, but I hope you're all enjoying a welcome splash now.

You're welcome.;)

3mm here, that's all. Drilling game covers today & the dust is flying again already.

As with you, dust is there 2mm below the ground, the sand lands doesn't even look any different. Even the clover is l;ooking sick.

Applying for a derogation (MTA) for the birdy mixtures that have not emerged... yet! Have essentially said I will redrill once we have rainfall, as I cannot see any point before we have moisture and my NE adviser agrees.

14 mm here in last 36 hours. Biggest amount since early March. Will help grazing but too late to help silage. Not enough to get the spring water supply going though. Will need to keep pumping ☹️☹️☹️
