I think there will be bargains to be had.must be loads of stock ordered for this year,tv’s,electrical stuff, cars ,tractors ,trucks, motorbikes etc.im sure next years orders have gone in so this years stuff will need to be moved to make room.my local toyota dealer has a nice new supra at £54k.might offer them £30 when this is all over.they can only tell me to fudge off
Nick...
Might be harsh but I’m after a truck, leaving it a bit longer for the above reasons.

Millionaires do not like spending money. I know a transport company who gave the drivers a phone but docked the cost of any private calls, including if they phoned their wife to say they would not be home tonight as given another load.
I can’t understand stupid companies being this mean with the people who they depend on to make money for them . This pisses workers off , who will get their revenge in a more expensive way , less production , phone calls are almost free but mean a lot to the employee , I have given a phone to one man working here , it only costs me a tender a month , but it’s worth a lot more to him and he never runs out of credit anymore .

Have a massey 2270 on order. Not heard anything from the dealer as yet. Saw a video on YouTube with someone to do with agco interviewed and sounded like the American factory's were still working. Could be in the UK by now or on ship for all I know. Will have to be brave and find out sometime.....

Maximum benefit, minimum cost

There’s going to be loads of fancey hire/finance cars/4x4s that People will be wanting rid off because they can’t keep up with the payments

They’ll just stop paying and the vehicles will eventually get collected when the lease companies can get to them. They’ll be thousands so what are they going to do about it.
Answer nothing as the lease company won’t be able to afford all the legal cases knowing the person will be bankrupt. Massive mess.

Yes I can't see government allowing bad credit records and court cases for the huge amounts of people who couldn't make payments due to the virus. It will be the finance companies and their investors who take the hit. I would expect finance deals to go up considerably in the future to cover this

Best to leave them where they are and extend the lease period up until mileage limit is reached. What are the lease co’s going to do with a glut of cars? Auctions could be very interesting!!

Agreed and air fares will be more expensive too for a couple of years. I wonder what the appetite for leisure travel will be like in 2021 if the virus has not been eradicated??

I quite agree, if you treat people like the proverbial they will become the proverbial. For fat cat bosses I have nothing but the utmost contempt.

The virus will never be stamped out globally. I can't even see a 1st world country like this one completely ridding itself of it. Immunity, whether its via an antidote or contracting and surviving it is where it will be. Its here to stay.

Hard to say but MERS is endemic to the middle east and seems to be largely under control.

Once large portions of a population are immune it might disappear for good.

My son killed our old 7810 on friday night so we were looking for a tractor to hire to finish the drilling. We asked Claas Eastern who we deal a lot with if they could help. The sales manager went in on Sunday to clean and disinfect the tractor so it could be picked up on Monday the biggest hassle was arranging insurance as the NFU mutual Lincoln man wasn't interested in these troubled times however Horncastle were helpful and so when the insurance was sorted he went to pick up the tractor. The mechanics were at worke
and the stores were operational but roped off. Instructions about the tractor were given at a distance and off he went. I think thats pretty good service too many businesses seem to be giving up before they have to.

Weren't you looking for a new tractor to swap for the landini? There you have the answer what to buy.

There are times I'd willingly swap the Landini for a handful of beans magic or not. But the Landini is in Kenya the Ford in UK and todays problem is a New Holland with a blown engine at 7000 hours and a dealer with no parts.

I have had a tractor on special order since last November it arrived in the country last week brilliant! I also have a cabbage planter ordered paid for and not built yet in Italy and a bedtiller ordered and paid for in UK seemed like a good idea two months ago. If you had told me all this was going to happen I might have planned things differently.
My tractor dealer rang me today and told me they would take $ 10000 less for the tractor because times were tough. I think that's pretty good if everybody has that attitude then maybe we will get through this.
