The thing I noticed is that nobody is making money but then nobody is spending money , so you don’t need as much when you can’t spend it. Some people will be worse off after this and some will be better off after this . All in all most will survive , one of the first casualties gone is the local golf club , a very good mature course , has been set to a farmer today for grass . Over near you fiat 9090
He was gone before covid he is now driving a lorry

A dealer 3 miles from here rung to say he had a mower in stock that I might be interested in as I'd passed comment a few months ago. I called in last week to look at it, he said he'd call up to the yard in the next day or two to discuss it. No sign yet. I'd have bought the mower there and then but if any of the scare stories come to light about milk being dumped and a pricedrop it'll be no deal.

My son killed our old 7810 on friday night so we were looking for a tractor to hire to finish the drilling. We asked Claas Eastern who we deal a lot with if they could help. The sales manager went in on Sunday to clean and disinfect the tractor so it could be picked up on Monday the biggest hassle was arranging insurance as the NFU mutual Lincoln man wasn't interested in these troubled times however Horncastle were helpful and so when the insurance was sorted he went to pick up the tractor. The mechanics were at worke
and the stores were operational but roped off. Instructions about the tractor were given at a distance and off he went. I think thats pretty good service too many businesses seem to be giving up before they have to.

Don't really know getting the info secondhand blew a pipe from the turbo replaced pipe but not running right. I am in Kenya he is a posh history student. Our local mechanic has locked himself down so hiring was best bet. He then managed to put his sister in hospital by hitting her finger when changing a drawbar so things could be going better.

Can not see many buying anything new for the next 18 months unless essential, will only mean less secondhand tractors for sale next year resulting in an uplift in prices for older gear?
There was a big amount of new tractors sold from the aforementioned dealer a couple of weeks ago but this was before this situation took hold.

It would be nice if we could get a pay rise as we are keeping britain supplied with food. Hopefully not to many imports at this time but who would know. From what I’ve seen in the supermarket milk should definitely not be dumped. Definitely need to support our dealers. If parts become scarce from manufacturers they could be our only lifeline.

We’ve recently bought an ex demo Krone Comprima round baler from the new KFS depot at Enstone. The baler itself was up in Scotland. I was thinking it was perhaps best not to take the wiring loom for our old NH baler off the tractor yet, just in case the new baler doesn’t make it south before we need it.
The dealer rang up yesterday to say it had arrived. I had to ask if he was kidding in case it was an April fools day joke.
But it has arrived and I saw it today.
