1. you can hire one ,2.you can fix it ,3 a 3 tonner is 400 a week here ,plus deliveryIts not just storage space, if a builder employs 4 men @ £150 a day and his owned machine breaks down, it can easily be 2/3 days before a fitter can come to site, order the parts and get it going again. This breakdown could cost thousands in wages.
If the machine is hired the hire company usually have the machine repaired or replacement sent the same day.
We can hire nearly brand new 8 ton diggers for £400 a week, buying just doesn't make sense at present.
