The f*****n useless workshy f****n b******rd NSF

Now AHDB have withdrawn funding from Red Tractor and in no instances whatsoever can it be proven that RT has ever provided any sort of premium against any imported unassured grain, I’m wondering how long it will be that all the assurance organisations have to return all subscriptions ever paid by farmers?

It is clearly completely unfit for purpose and a totally pointless con.
Could it ever turn out like PPI claims

Just had QMS visit and pretty fair overall this year though same inspector which helps as they have an overview. Last time pitched up with unannounced SSPCA officer where there was nothing to hide but I told them I would expect prior warning as to who was coming.
Previously minor fails on resilience and feed planning. My simple plan was there are 240 cattle and a big heap of silage which somehow have to meet each day. If my son and I both killed then the least my wife will have to worry about is whether they get 1 or 2kg concentrate.
However, can be a stressful preparation.

Got my RT inspection on Tuesday.

If it wasn’t compulsory to be RT assured for my dairy contract, I would have some fun but I fear I will have to kowtow

My pig audit is with them is on Monday morning! Can’t wait to show her the footbath the medicine cupboard, the fatality book etc.If she can get her nose out the clipboard, we may even have a look at the pigs !!
And she comes up from York so I can have the pleasure of her company!🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

It certainly could.
I’m hoping that it does too!
I have posted on here before, that somewhere in the small print it says that as a RT dairy farmer I must also subscribe to RT beef. The dairy part is paid by my milk buyer but I have to pay for the beef part myself, not that I have a clue what extra I’m supposed to be doing to comply with beef rules, as far as I can make out it’s all covered in dairy other than writing a cheque for beef assurance, it would be nice to think that one day this is declared unlawful and they have to pay me back
Edit
Found the piece of paper I ad to sign saying I’m aware that being a member of RT dairy means I need to be a member of RT beef

I found this when we milked over a decade ago. They covered calves up to 3 months and stuff over 36months or something but nothing in between. I thought it was criminal at the time and, like you, had to pay Fabbl to get cover for the beefers. A bit c7ntish really when you think about it.

Inspector once moaned at me about what to do if something happened to me, regarding what grain was in what shed and what the cattle got fed, I told him my wife knows just as much about what’s going on as I did so no worries there, and if the unthinkable happened to both of us it would all be sold up so that be end of it!

nothing More was said on the subject by them at that point.

I leave all QMS inspections in my good ladies hands - I typically find some chainsaw work to be done in a (very) remote location on inspection days.

No doubt you left a copy of your chainsaw certificates. NFU Mutual told me last week that I needed a ticket to cut up a tree, 45 years since I first held a saw -and still got all fingers and toes

I do actually have a Cert - probably showing my age when I admit it was a 3 day course and cost .................£32.

In fact it was money well spent - the guy running the course was very practical and full of experience - I went away knowing a damn sight more than I did when I started.

But they never asked for it

To be fair I've never had a problem with the actual inspectors, they've always been pretty fair and we gave sorted minor issues between us. It's the office idiots that are the problem

This is it. Inspectors are generally ok although I think the SAI guys are generally much better. It’s the NSF office feckwits that really peeve me. They got an email last night which was pretty much identical to my original post, it’ll be interesting to see if it gets a reaction.

Just in case there’s any doubt though, I don’t much care for the organisation. 😃😃
